With the rise of technology, the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad's Assembly Club provides students with hands-on opportunities to explore this field, along with electronics and robotics.
Two Academy teams consisting of 20 students attended the national chapter of the FIRST Lego League robotics competition in Bangalore on the weekend of 23-24th February 2019. One of them came away with an award.
20 students from grades 7, 9 and 10 made the Academy proud at the Hyderabad FIRST Lego League, a local chapter of an international robotics competition for elementary and middle school students, held across 98 countries.
The Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad held a day-long robotics workshop and tournament for 48 grade 6 students from seven nearby government schools on Saturday, 24 February.

Every single student and member of staff was given the time and opportunity to code their own computer programme during Computer Science Education Week which ran from 4th – 10th December.
Selected design students from grades 8, 9 and 10 participated in a robotics workshop in December 2016 hosted by FIRST (For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics program in Australia.
