The Teacher Preparation Programme (TPP) held its 6th graduation on 18 June 2020 in an online ceremony to honour the achievements of eight graduates from Kenya and Mozambique who successfully completed the 18-month programme.
In honour of recognising May as the first ever International Period Month, students at the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad partnered with numerous organisations worldwide to help make sustainable menstrual hygiene a reality for everyone.
On Saturday 23 May, the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa celebrated the graduation of 67 exceptionally talented students from their Class of 2020, at a specially planned ‘virtual graduation ceremony’.
Following in the footsteps of previous cohorts, the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa’s Class of 2020 received record-breaking results in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) this year. In addition to the Academy once again scoring highly, the percentage of top scorers was also above the global average – with nine students scoring an outstanding 40 points and above.
His Excellency President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa visited the Aga Khan Academy in Maputo on 13 January, while in Mozambique for the inauguration of its new President. He was accompanied by Ms Teresa Ribeiro, Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Portuguese Government, and Ms Maria Amélia de Paiva, Portugal’s Ambassador to Mozambique.
