Junior School students showcase their passion projects

AKA Mombasa Junior School students held a week-long exhibition to showcase their passion projects which they've been working on since online learning began, The showcase featured beautiful art pieces, hand-made jewellery, recipe books, posters spreading awareness on environmental issues, and inventions made out of recyclable materials, and more.

Introducing the new 2021 - 2022 SRC presidents at AKA Mombasa

AKA Mombasa held presidential elections for the Student Representative Council (SRC) on 26 - 28 April 2021. The peer-elected SRC advocates for the needs and rights of the students and is a platform for individuals to hone their leadership skills. The newly elected presidents, Ayan Charania and Zahra Mamujee in Diploma Programme 1, will lead the council in representing their peers and voicing their challenges. They tell us more about their plans and how they would like to make a difference.

iSEAyou, a CAS group at the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa, launched a project to promote food security and alleviate poverty by providing healthy, clean and inexpensive sources of food.

Academy hosts carnival for students during Easter break

The residential community at AKA Mombasa had an exciting carnival which was organised by the Student Representative Council and the Tuck Shop team on 4 April 2021. The carnival was planned for students to engage and have fun during the Easter break.

AKA Mombasa alumna and musician Xenia Manasseh is featured in the '254's women tastemakers' section of the Standard newspaper, which celebrates women pushing boundaries in the creative arts.
