AKA Mombasa students celebrate World Theatre Day

On 29 March, for the first time ever, the Academy celebrated World Theatre Day. This international celebration draws theatre and the power of this art form into the spotlight, so that all can enjoy what it has to offer. Junior School students celebrate movement

In the exciting "Movement Composition" unit involving dance, acrobatics and gymnastics, Junior School students took the lead in their learning as they developed new skills in their respective year levels.

Exploring cultural exchange and innovation during the Inventors Fair

The Inventors Fair marks the end of the Grade 8 unit “What happens when East meets West?” During the unit, students explore how the Silk Road connected people and cultures across continents.

East African Chess Championship

The East Africa Junior Chess Tournament is an annual event that brings together some of the best chess players from the region, with this year's competition held at the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa.

Residential trip to Taita

During the midterm break, the Grade 6-8 residential students and the Grade 9 Exchange Programme students from the Aga Khan Academy Maputo and the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad went on a trip to Taita where they had the opportunity to learn about nature, culture, and the importance of conservation.

To celebrate the importance of reading and to promote the culture of reading, we are proud to celebrate Book Month every year. During Book Month, the Academy organizes various events and activities that encourage reading. These events include book fairs, book swaps, reading challenges, book discussions, and author visits.
