From 9-11 May, six students from the Machel Fidus Association visited and stayed at the Aga Khan Academy Maputo where they learned about public speaking, visual arts, design and more.
On 6 May 2022, the Grade 6 students at the Aga Khan Academy Maputo took a field trip to Tunduru Gardens to learn about how local resources can be used to facilitate learning.
On 7 May the Aga Khan Academy Maputo hosted a basketball camp – Campo de Desenvolvimento António Azevedo and Hernani Mussa – for 60 students from schools around Mozambique, including seven students from the Academy.

On Monday, 4 April 2022, the Aga Khan Academy Maputo’s staff members had a team picnic at the Ponta de Ouro beach as part of the Academy’s staff wellness initiatives.
On 26 March 2022, the Aga Khan Academy Maputo hosted an Open Day session for existing and new families to visit the campus and learn more about the different academic programmes offered at the Academy.
The Aga Khan Academy Maputo was inaugurated today by the President of the Republic of Mozambique Filipe Jacinto Nyusi together with the President of the Portuguese Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, in the presence of Prince Rahim Aga Khan, representing His Highness the Aga Khan.
